Mamdani Puts Out Bonkers Video Coaching Illegals on How to Evade ICE – RedState
While most Americans were going about their usual Sunday rituals — you know, the good things like church, football, and spending time with family — New York’s next mayor decided he needed to make a video telling illegal immigrants what they needed to do to avoid being arrested by federal law enforcement. You won’t be at all surprised to learn that Zohran Mamdani chose Pearl Harbor Day as the perfect time to speak out against the laws that govern the United States of America.
In a video posted to social media, Mayor-elect Mamdani is clearly furious that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials are trying to rid New York’s streets of illegal immigrants. He pulls out a whiteboard and comes up with a handy list of ways illegal immigrants can evade arrest and annoy everyone within earshot if they’re taken into custody. The video is very helpfully subtitled in English and Spanish.

Last weekend, ICE attempted to raid Canal Street and arrest our immigrant neighbors. As Mayor, I will protect the rights of every New Yorker, including the more than 3 million immigrants who call this city home. But we can all stand up to ICE if you know your rights.
If you encounter ICE, these are things every New Yorker should know.
First, ICE cannot enter private spaces, such as your home, school, or private area of your workplace without a court warrant signed by a judge. Like that: [image of a search and seizure warrant]. If ICE does not have a court warrant signed by a judge, you have the right to say, “I do not consent to entry” and the right to keep your door closed.
Sometimes ICE will show you documents that look like this: [image of a warrant of removal/deportation]and tell you they have the right to arrest you. This is false. ICE is legally allowed to lie to you, but you have the right to remain silent. If you are detained, you can always ask, “Am I free to go?” repeatedly until they respond to you.
You are legally allowed to film ICE as long as you do not interfere with an arrest. It is important to remain calm during any interaction with ICE or law enforcement. Do not obstruct their investigation, do not resist arrest or flee.
Saul Alinsky would be proud.
That Zohran Mamdani would stand against the laws of the United States is not surprising – his rise in the polls earlier this year began when he attempted to physically confront Tom Homan, then later promised to “Trump-proof” New York City – because he has always been loud and proud, proudly and unapologetically anti-American.
The worrying thing is that this guy seems to think he’s still running for office. This is essentially a campaign video that shows a man who is completely unprepared to govern. He clearly thrives on the adulation of far-left New Yorkers who hate the country and Donald Trump as much as he does, but that’s low-hanging fruit these days. How will residents feel when they understand that Mamdani intends to put the interests of illegal immigrants above everything else?
It is not yet clear how this video will be broadcast to the Trump White House, which hosted the mayor-elect a week ago. Zohran Mamdani will be named the next mayor of New York on January 1, 2026.
