MANNA makes sure those with chronic illnesses have a Thanksgiving meal

All year round, MANNA provides meals to people with chronic illnesses, so of course, this mission continues at Thanksgiving.
This holiday, their loading dock is filled with bags with delicious meals inside.
MANNA leaders and volunteers started bright and early, at 5 a.m. Thursday.
This year, they’re offering more than 2,500 Thanksgiving meals featuring turkey, stuffing and sweet potatoes, all packaged with love.
The 200 volunteers then deliver the meals to more than 700 seriously ill MANNA clients and their families.
“Tomorrow we’ll start getting messages – we get so many messages – we get so many cards from customers that just say ‘thank you for coming out for me,'” said Sue Daugherty, CEO of MANNA.
“They’re going to be very grateful and it’s going to be one of the things they’ll give thanks for at their table, which is wonderful,” said Brian Rozzelle, of Berlin, New Jersey.
MANNA is known for its delicious pies, and customers have received this treat as well. Even though Thanksgiving is MANNA’s Super Bowl, they continue this mission year-round.
