The photos and the video are very revealing and rather sad: a photo of a old and lost old man, moving around the beach, looking at distraction in the distance, fighting to install his beach chair. It seems uncertain and confused, and you know, it is not the first time.
During his Washington trips, viral videos of the 46th stumbling president while walking on the sand and withdrawing his bicycle gave ammunition to criticism calling for his mental and physical decline.
Thursday’s photos show the former senator and vice-president of Delaware, 82, joyfully shaking the sand of his towel while wearing her Aviator sunglasses and his presidential baseball cap, before making his suitcases.
Now, granted, it is easy to trip in the deep sand, from time to time. But there is much more in the decline of Joe Biden than that, starting with his performance of embarrassing debate, interrupted and confused against Trump now President in 2024. After that, even the Democrats could not avoid the elephant in the room.
Of course, now he’s just a sorry and sad old man, lost on a beach. Only a few months ago, he was the president of the United States – or, at least, the autopen. This man, who enters an epic struggle with a beach chair and loses, had the authority for the liberation of nuclear weapons. Holy Moley, what a comparison with our current president, who, whether you agree with him on a given policy or not, is determined, capable and difficult. He knows precisely what he wants to do, and he goes after his goals with all the strength of a steam locomotive.
