Meatballs recalled from Aldi because of metal pieces

Rosina Food Products Inc. of West Seneca, New York, is recalling 9,462 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) frozen meatballs after a consumer complained about metal in the product, the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
RTE fully cooked frozen meatball products were manufactured on July 30, 2025. FSIS is concerned that consumers may have the product in their homes due to its long shelf life.
The following products subject to recall can be identified by the following information on the label:
- 32 ounce printed poly film bag packages of fully cooked frozen “Bremer FAMILY SIZE ITALIAN MEATBALLS” containing “approximately 64 meatballs per package” with a “BEST BY” date of “10/30/26” with timestamps between 5:08 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. printed on the back of the label.
Products subject to recall bear the establishment number “EST. 4286B” inside the USDA inspection mark. The affected products have a shelf life of 15 months and were shipped to Aldi supermarkets nationwide.
The problem was discovered after FSIS received a consumer complaint about metal fragments found in the product.
No harm from consumption of these products has been confirmed. Anyone concerned about an injury should contact a health care provider.
Consumers who have purchased these products are asked not to consume them.
