I I tried to write a letter recently but my hand did not quite cooperate: the result was a manic scribble. I rarely put more literal pen on paper and it seems that my exceeding on a keyboard means that I may have lost the capacity to write readable cursive. I am not alone: handwriting disappears. My child may never be learned to write at school. Although the seizure is more effective, studies suggest that seizure of notes rather than writing can have a negative impact on the capacity of the brain to learn.

A keyboard now looks like stone age technology; While AI becomes more anchored in our lives, what impact will it have on our brain? We always understand it. People who earn money from technology keep telling us that we need it, or we’ll get delay. Mark Zuckerberg, for example, recently said that if you do not wear intelligent glasses powered by AI, you will find yourself in a “important cognitive disadvantage” in the near future. However, a recent study suggests that an excessive excess on the chatgpt could harm the capacities of critical thinking. And then, of course, there are all the other collateral damage to the AI – from its massive environmental impact to its exploitation of the work of the underpaid creatives.

Not everyone wants to participate in this new courageous world. Meet the “vegans IA”: people who have chosen to refrain from using AI for environmental, ethical and personal well-being reasons. Yes, “veganism of AI” is a real sentence. No, I did not invent myself. Although I want rather that I do it, because it’s quite catchy, isn’t it? Side note: one of the most genius anchors of all time was the way in which false leather (which is often made from polyurethane, a type of plastic) has suddenly become ambitious “vegan leather”.

Will the veganism of AI ensure? Who knows. But, like ordinary veganism, I am sure that his practitioners will tell you about it. And although it can be unrealistic to expect the masses to become numerically becoming vegan, it is not a bad idea for all of us to be more aware of the amount of AI that we consume and its impact on the planet. Maybe any request to AI applications should first respond to a number of digital calories? Yes, I can generate a photo of a cat in a spaceship by eating a taco, but my AI model could lower a bottle of water to do it and 10 Times more energy than google research… Do you really want this image? Just reflection material.
