Mets not concerned that top pick once mimicked cocaine snort on field

I take full responsibility for what I did, and I am really sorry for all those I affected negatively by doing this. ”
See was not punished by the Wolverines.
“Mitch is a big young man and immediately apologized for his actions in the heat of the moment,” said Michigan athletics spokesman David Ablauf in Athletic in an email on March 18. “As a department of athletics, we did not think that it was necessary to issue a discipline.”
Addressing journalists on Monday, the vice-president of amateur scouting Mets Kris Gross said that the organization had made its reasonable diligence on the issue leading to the project.
“We talked to him earlier in the spring and the combine harvester on this subject,” said Gross. “And basically, you know, it’s a young guy, it’s a warmth of passion, it’s a big match. He made a big game for his team and made a mistake. And he apologized for this and returned it, managed it with class.
“We have done a ton of research afterwards with several sources on its makeup. We know that it is not a problem and we feel comfortable with Mitch to move forward.”
See was a bidirectional player in his first two seasons in Michigan, before undergoing an internal operation of the splint on his right elbow in the spring of 2024. While the second Wolverine base player in the 56 games of this season, sees 0.346 with 14 circuits and 60 products produced, with more walks (40) than sticks (34).
“He made a lot of progress, this is his first year to focus on the strike,” Gross told journalists on Sunday.
