Castillo has had a crazy 2025 and is looking for some stability.
In 2025, he pitched for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Seattle Mariners, Baltimore Orioles and Mets.
Castillo did a solid job. He had a 3.94 ERA in 32 innings pitched.

Prior to this season, Castillo pitched for the Padres in four other MLB campaigns. He has also missed time in the past due to Tommy John surgery.
Castillo has a 4.11 ERA in his MLB career and should be effective in Japan.
He might have the chance to come back to the United States one day, but for now he’ll see what he can do in Japan.
