Michigan Republican Agrees to Procedural Vote On Epstein; the Reason Why Is Still … – RedState

I know full well that there are stories and incidents in which I would immerse myself if I had been an elected official. What are the reasons why I am happy to puncture here and on the radio about these cases, and that I do not officially vote for such things?
I would cause myself trouble.
All the disorder with Jeffrey Epstein is one of those cases where I would make leadership nuts because of the whole situation of the God. I already know it, and fortunately, I have no luck and blessed enough to be an elected official, and I am wise enough to know that cases like this would cause me in trouble with leadership.
While I read this in The Detroit News, my mind left in a hundred different directions:
Rep. Tom Barrett is the only Republican legislator in Michigan at the Congress who signed a procedural effort to force a vote to force the Ministry of Justice to publish files related to the sexual offender condemned Jeffrey Epstein.
Barrett, which represents a Mid-Michigan swing district anchored by Lansing, noted that it was one of the first GOP legislators to be signed on a bipartite resolution led by representatives. Thomas Massie Kentucky and Ro Khanna From California the first day he was available on July 16. Eleven Republicans have signed.
I get what Barrett tries to do here; He tries to divide the difference, and frankly, I don’t blame it. I have no doubt that he checked with the White House before publishing this declaration below:
Barrett told Detroit News that he wanted to be in the file in favor of the publication of Epstein files-with the exception of the personal information of the victims or any sexual content that should be expounded, he noted.
“The bill prescribes it, but beyond, I absolutely think that these things should be made public and released, and people can make them their own conclusions,” said Barrett.
Michigan 2024 results in the 7th Congress district:
Tom Barrett (R) 226 722
Curtis Hertel (d) 209 959
L. Rachel Dailey (L) 14 231
Tom Barrett beat a former president of Michigan in the Chamber in 2024 by three and a half points. Given that it is part of a national chamber of representatives who is currently Republicans at 219 seats in the Democrats at 212, they have a very thin margin to cover a line. If it comes back to a total voting from the House, it is not guaranteed to vote yes.
The reflection is that you cannot have any problems throwing your support behind the information published when this information does not contain harmful equipment. That’s why I’m glad he added the “People can make their own conclusions” Align this declaration on being the so far of the Michigan delegation so far, which gives a boost on this subject.
It is an intelligent decision for Barrett and give the boost and not to ask that all hell is unleashed as the Democrats would hope. I would consider this shocking if some more Republicans did not join the Michigan delegation in this effort.
Democrats hope there is something in the files that has not already been disclosed. However, they have not forgotten that Joe Biden was president for four years and beat Donald Trump, and they could have published detrimental information if the government had it at any time.
They did not do it, however.
I have no doubt that some people on the Democrat side will do as much as possible and try to touch President Trump on this subject, but if it was, this would have already happened at the time last year.
You know it, and I know, but the Democrats try to have a stench every minute of every day.
