Microsoft adds PC, cloud gaming to Xbox Core, Standard subscriptions

While Xbox Game Pass Ultimate represents the Premium game subscription that Microsoft offers, the costs of $ 19.99 / month can be prohibitive for some people. The Core and the standard Microsoft Game Pass level levels are more affordable, and there are good news for subscribers today: Microsoft provides PC and Cloud streaming games at these levels.

Game Pass Core and standard subscribers will now have access to cloud games, both on the games they make and do not have. Even better, Microsoft tests by giving them access to the local versions of certain PC titles, by widening the nucleus and standard levels – which were linked to the Xbox console – and also making them accessible to PC and / or portable players.

All of this makes sense, because Microsoft has expanded its concept of what a Xbox is both for PC, portable and streaming television platforms. This is also good news for existing PC players who may have struggled to play on a productivity PC and can now take advantage of Microsoft’s GPU servers in the cloud.

Microsoft’s basic subscription already gives console users access to a small library of 25 to 30 games. Standard subscribers have access to a largely extended library of several hundred games – but only on the Xbox console, so far. Microsoft does not say how many games at each level will be playable in the cloud. But the nice touch is that if you already have the game, you should be able to broadcast it from the Xbox Cloud, giving these low -end PC players an immediate boost.

There is a little grip. For the moment, Microsoft is testing this capacity with its initiate program, which means that you will simply have to download the Xbox Insider Hub application for Xbox or PC, as well as the corresponding application for Xbox.

If you are part of the Windows Insider program and play games on a PC or a pocket computer, open the Xbox PC application, then just access the Game Pass tab to see the catalog of enlarged games and accessible to the cloud. Of course, there are other options such as Nvidia’s GeForce plan now, but Microsoft’s expansion of its already paid plans is a good bonus.
