Microsoft is finally improving Windows 11’s dark mode

Microsoft introduced an option in black mode in Windows 10 in 2016, but there were still many areas of the operating system that looked like a slim of light and dark modes. Almost a decade later, the latest Windows 11 overview version now includes even darker user interface elements.

If you copy files or delete them, these dialog boxes will finally have a dark mode instead of the invitation on the theme of light. It is clearly a work in progress, because the buttons of these invites still have light buttons instead of those dark.

Microsoft has officially announced any improvement in its Dark Windows 11 mode, but these small changes could indicate a wider overhaul for update 25h2 later this year. The user interface of the configuration panel, the execution prompt and the file is always stuck in light mode, so I hope Microsoft finds the time after almost 10 years to solve them as well.

I don’t have much hope, however. It took Microsoft a few years to add a dark mode to File Explorer in Windows 10, after the operating system with a mixture of clear and dark modes. Apple has long been a coherent obscure mode in macOS, because it sent with MacOS Mojave in 2018. A new liquid glass overhaul is even on the way later this year, with a greater accent on translucent.
