Tree smashes through windshield, injuring driver in Chelan County

A 65-year-old man was injured after a tree was ‘thrown from the river’ onto the roadway, smashing into his windscreen.

The incident occurred on southbound SR 207 near Coles Corner and just two miles south of Lake Wenatchee.

The Washington State Patrol said “a fallen tree came out of the river and into the vehicle.”

The extent of the driver’s injuries is unknown.
