Mike Vrabel scolds Boston Globe reporter for asking same question repeatedly

Mike Rabel may not be Bill Belichick, but the veteran head coach who now heads the New England patriots channeled him on Tuesday after not having liked the question of a journalist.

Why exactly? He had just answered another journalist.

The journalist in question was the Boston Globe Ben Volin, who asked Vrabel how he thought how his team came to the Patriots camp on the first day.

Truebel, clearly checked, replied fairly quickly.

“Whether you were in a coma when I answered Tom’s question, or hitting your phone or tweeting, I don’t know. But I spent five minutes answer this question. I can come back, but I prefer not to,” said Trébel.

Some may consider Verbel’s response as one he did not have to give volin, but the journalist possessed so as not to pay attention to the previous response of the new head coach after having published on X.

Patriots’ journalists are accustomed to freelance and severe answers on the desk given the years of monotonous Belichick answers to the questions.

Truebel can be more lively, but he was once a player under Belichick and his own style of coaching has similarities. He expects everyone to do his job properly and effectively – even journalists in the press room.

The Patriots left Jerod Mayo, a former teammate from New England of Vrabel’s, continue after a single season as a chief coach in 2024. New England went 4-13 under Mayo, which was the worst brand of AFC East last year.

Truebel was considered a pioneer for employment Patriots last off-season when Belichick and the team separated each other, but he never found new coach concert after having been released by the Titans of Tennessee after six seasons as a chief coach.

After a one-year interruption, Trobert is back in the saddle with a New England team who seeks to take over the playoffs for the first time since 2021.

With new blood, including the wide receiver Stefon Diggs, in the building to accompany Cornerstone parts like the quarterrière Drake Maye, the Foxborough scenarios should be abundant this season.

Truebel, however, clearly hopes that these stories do not imply repeated questions.
