Minnesota Tactics Hit Big Apple – RedState
We all knew the anti-ICE unrest in Minneapolis was going to spread. Many of us suspect that it is well organized, well financed, that it is not spontaneous but directed. In another sign of this, the New York Post, in an exclusive article published Sunday, informs us that New York City socialists – the kind of people who elected a communist mayor, Zohran Mandani – are holding training sessions to provoke Minneapolis-style Big Apple unrest.
New York City socialists are amassing an army of more than 4,000 anti-ICE activists to form “rapid response” battalions and obstruct the federal government in a looming crackdown on illegal immigrants in the Big Apple.
Mayor Mamdani and DSA comrades laid out their mission Thursday at a monthly meeting of their immigrant justice task force in the upscale Midtown neighborhood of the Chinese Communist Party-linked People’s Forum, where photos of communist idols Fidel Castro and Che Guevara decorate the walls.
“As we’ve seen in other cities, we still anticipate a big wave of federal immigration enforcement,” a DSA leader who identified herself only as Marina told a crowd of more than 100 members.
DSA stands for Democratic Socialists of America. And don’t miss the connection to the Chinese Communist Party.
100 today, 1,000 tomorrow? What’s happening in Minneapolis and elsewhere is bad enough, but a city the size of New York could accommodate thousands of people. This sort of thing feeds on itself; a thousand people start with protests and end with riots, looting and arson. We saw it in the summer of 2020, and it seems highly likely that we’ll see it again in 2026. And it’s only just beginning now; Cold weather keeps a percentage of potential rioters indoors. But when will summer come?

The organizers of this affair are not starting small either.
The New York chapter trains 2,000 DSA members and 2,000 other non-members, and activates an additional 50 trainers.
It is also increasing the staffing of its ICE hotline to operate it 24/7.
“If you speak Pular, if you speak Creole, if you speak Fulani, come and find us,” urged one leader. “We really want you to be part of the team.”
As the old saying goes, summer will be long and hot.
Here’s the problem: The Trump administration cannot back down on these ICE detentions and repatriations. This was a major point of the campaign; between the high-profile crimes committed by illegal aliens and the mass importation of third world “refugees” into small communities that do not have the resources to handle this sudden influx, and the repeated cases of employers hiring illegals who work cheaply, often paid under the table; Donald Trump ran and won on a promise to solve this problem. Border czar Tom Homan is adamant. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is adamant. This is happening.
The opposition, it seems, is only just beginning. If the DSA, and apparently the Chinese Communist Party, are doing this in New York, they are most likely doing it in other “sanctuary” cities as well. ICE can handle a few dozen protesters, thereby interfering with its operations – but what happens if a crowd of thousands shows up?
This won’t end well.
