New York – The former American representative in disgrace, George Santos, should begin to serve a sentence of seven years in prison on Friday for the accusations of fraud who overthrew him from the Congress.

The New York Republican pleaded guilty in federal thread and aggravated identity theft to deceive the donors and steal the identities of people in the past summer in order to finance his congress campaign.

He must appear in the federal prison before 2 p.m., he is not clear where he will serve his time, although a federal judge has recommended that Santos be hosted in an establishment in the northeast.

Santos and his lawyers refused to comment on the Associated Press before reporting to the prison. The Federal Bureau of Prisons said that he did not discuss the status of detainees until they were officially in detention.

As Friday approaches, however, the former Loquace legislator, who was 37 years old on Tuesday, did not hesitate to share his morbid fears on life behind bars.

“I am not trying to be in drama here. I’m just honest with you. I consider it a death sentence,” Santos told Tucker Carlson during an interview. “I am not built for that.”

In an interview on Thursday with Al Arabiya, a Saudi public press organization, he declared that he would serve his sentence in a minimum security “camp” which he described as a “big upgrade” of the average security locking to which he was initially affected.

On X this week, Santos published a video clip for “My Way” by Frank Sinatra.

“And now the end is close. And so I face the final curtain,” is right closer to the singer.

Other messages have taken a darker tone.

“I head for prison, friends and I need you to hear this strong and clear: I am not suicidal. I am not depressed. I have no intention of harming myself, and I will not be happy in any sexual activity while I am there,” he said on X. “If something comes out by suggesting the opposite, otherwise consider a lie.”

In April, a federal judge refused to pronounce Santos a lighter two -year sentence he asked for, saying that she was not convinced that he really had no remorse. In the weeks preceding his conviction, Santos said he was “deeply sorry” for his crimes, but he also frequently complained that he was the victim of a witch hunt and a political prosecutor.

Santos was elected in 2022, overthrowing a rich district representing parts of Queens and Long Island for the GOP. But he served for less than a year and became only the sixth member of the Chamber to be ousted by colleagues after revealing that he had made a large part of his life story.

During his winning campaign, Santos painted himself as a prosperous business owner who worked in prestigious Wall Street companies when in reality he had financially difficult.

He also claimed to be a volleyball star in a college he never attended and qualified as “American proud Jewish” before insisting that he meant that he was “Jewish” because the family of his Brazilian mother had Jewish training.

The cascade of lies finally led to convention and criminal investigations on how Santos financed its campaign and, ultimately, its political fall.

Since his eviction of Congress, Santos has earned his life by organizing a podcast entitled “Pants on fire with George Santos” and Hawking Persualized Video Messages on Cameo.

He also hoped that his unwavering support for President Donald Trump could help him win a last-minute stay, although the White House said this week that it “would not comment on the existence or non-existence” of a mercy.
