Mitch McConnell Called Donald Trump a ‘Stupid’ and ‘Despicable Human Being’

The head of the Senate minority, Mitch McConnell, described the presidential candidate for his party, Donald Trump, a “stupid”, “poorly quoted” and “a despicable human being”, according to his own archives.

McConnell did the withered evaluations of a series of private “Oral Oral stories” which he gave to Michael Tackett, the deputy chief of the Associated Press office, who has an upcoming biography on the Kentucky Senator called The price of power. The AP has conveniently reported the juicy details of the book.

McConnell’s remarks were made after the 2020 elections that Trump lost, and the senator was apparently delighted to see the back of the former president, thinking: “It is not only the Democrats who count on the days” until he leaves his functions.

The Senate republican leader since 2007, he also expressed his confidence in the “good judgment of the American people” for rejected Trump that year.

“They had just enough false statements, the pure and simple lies almost daily, and they dismissed it,” he said in one of his recorded daily newspapers.

McConnell, 82, announced earlier this year that he would resign as a leader at the end of November.

Despite his private protests and his public blame as Trump as “practically responsible” for the “shameful” attack on January 6 against the American Capitol, McConnell is one of the many republicans formerly unhappy to turn around and approve the former president this year.

“It is not surprising only as a candidate, he will get my support,” he said in March.

This puts him in the league with Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), two other pillars of the GOP who had variously criticized Trump and then had a moment at the end of Maga.

After Trump lost the elections and in the weeks preceding the attack on January 6, McConnell thought in private about his increase in instability, the Tackett book reveals.

“For a narcissist like him, it was really difficult to take, and therefore his behavior since the elections was even worse, by far, because he has no filter now,” he said.
