MLB playoff predictions: Expert picks for every ALDS, NLDS playoff series
THE 2025 mlb playoffs are underway and we head for the series of the League division after three of the four Wild Card Series went to match 3. The Philadelphia Phillies will face the Los Angeles Dodgers, who swept the Reds of Cincinnati to move forward. The Milwaukee Brewers, owner of the best record for the regular MLB season, will face the rival of the Chicago Cubs division. In the American League, Toronto Blue Jays will face their Al East rivals in New York Yankees, while Seattle Mariners get the Detroit Tigers.

Dodgers vs Phillies
(Fanduel Odds: Dodgers -124, Phillies +106)
Anderson: This is the NL version of the Yankees-Blue Jays series for me. Two very good clubs, both quite capable of winning here, then winning everything. I had the dodgers who took the pennant NL, so, again, I stood next to this selection. Their rotation is as healthy as the season, and I have to imagine that their enclosure – second in fusion – will be somewhat improved by the additions of Starters Clayton Kershaw, Emmet Sheehan and Roki Sasaki. Take: Dodgers in 5
Snyder: These are the two best teams of the playoffs. It’s a throw for me and it’s a shame that it is not a series of seven games. I will go with the phillies here simply because of the problems of dodgers enclosure. If Roki Sasaki continues to launch as he did in match 2 of the Wild Card series, however, all bets are disabled. Pick: Phillies in 5
Brewers vs cubs
(Fanduel Odds: Brewers -116, Cubs +100)
Axis: It is purely a choice of vibrations. Brewers are a great formidable team, but the Cubs too, and what happened in the regular season does not matter now. It’s a new start and a new season. I love the way Michael Busch and Seiya Suzuki are swinging the bat right now – they seem to be putting on – and the enclosure of the lifts is surprisingly great. I go with the cubs here. Should be an exciting and chaotic series anyway. Pick: Cubs in 4
Mcwilliams: If it was a series of seven games, I would be inclined to choose the Cubs. But I think Milwaukee is quite dangerous in a short series to take this. Brewers play fundamental baseball, they launch and do all the little things. Pick: Brewers in 5
Mariners VS Tigers
(Fanduel Ods: Mariners -172, Tigers +146)
Anderson: To be clear, it is not an excessive reaction for last month of tigers. I just think that the navies have the best team – they had the best record and run a differential during the regular season – and this is particularly true if Bryan Woo is available to launch. I don’t see need to become cute. Pick: Mariners in 4
Pear: I just think that the navies are the best team at the moment, especially in attack and in terms of depth of rotation. Tigers will only obtain one regular departure from Tarik Skubal in this series, which is also notable. Pick: Mariners in 5
Blue Jays vs Yankees
(Fanduel Odds: Blue Jays +132, Yankees -156)
Mcwilliams:: I question the capacity of Blue Jays to cross this turn with their pitching problems. They have no real ace, and I believe that the Yankees are going enough to strike to make them cross and on the Alcs. Pick: Yankees in 5
Snyder: The offenses will have some big sleeves in this series and it will be so fun. I love the Blue Jays offensive, but the Yankees have a little more firepower and also have an advantage in the rotation, so I will take them. Pick: Yankees in 5
