Modder turns Legion Go handheld into a chunky mini laptop

The Legion Go Gaming by Lenovo Game Gaming, which recently obtained a complete suite, is built different from other Steam Deck style devices. And it’s not just about marketing. The most distinctive feature of the gadget is its removable controllers and Kickstand, making it a small PC game tablet. A modder decided that it was not good enough and made it a little PC game laptop instead.
By printing in 3D a personalized frame for the central design of the tablet, then throwing a Lenovo keyboard and a ton of additional batteries in the lower section, the user Reddit Mysteriousalarm897 created a tiny 8.8 -inch laptop computer outside the Go Legion equipment.
It’s a big thing, about three inches thick by the photos, but the adjustment and finish are ideal for a personalized project. As Liliputing notes, there is also a personalized USB-C Hub integrated into the base to give it additional ports, and it has cuts for air circulation and speakers. It is a small, tidy configuration which, I am sure, has taken some iterations. A “thin” version of the design is dispensed with the additional and pink battery about one thumb.
The GO Legion turns out to be a popular option for 3D printed projects thanks to its flexibility, and at least a seller Etsy makes an attachment that makes the small device more like a microsoft surface. I wonder if the Legion Go 2 will inspire the same type of creativity … or if its prohibitive price will scare people.
