Mods react as Reddit kicks some of them out again: “This will break the site”

Ars asked Reddit if the new limits are a response to power mods, and the spokesperson for Reddit, Tim Rathschmidt, replied:
It is not a judgment of a specific moderator or moderate practices; It is a structural change. The establishment of limits on the site scale creates a solution for the present and the future which is not linked to any individual mods.
Changing reports
In addition to the concerns concerning the new limits of MOD, several mods that I have spoken to fear that Reddit announces that he will no longer meet the reports on user behavior or deleted content. In addition, the comments eliminated by the moderators will automatically disappear from the user profiles. Currently, “this content continues to appear on the user profile until it is reported and also deleted by Reddit”, by Go_jasonwaterfalls. They noted that Reddit will always examine all Mod reports.
“”[M]The content of the Violent OST is already captured by our automated and human revision systems, “said the administrator.” And in case we make a mistake and miss something, mods are allowed to delete it. “”
Among the mods, it is concern that these modifications will lead to the non-action of users, and Reddit lacking things that deserve to alert the authorities.
In response, Rathschmidt told Ars by e-mail:
Keeping Reddit in safety and healthy is our highest priority, and a goal that we share with mods. This will not change the way we share users who break the Reddit rules.
However, there is still a concern about Reddit overlooking the wrong content.
“They claim that … They act correctly the vast majority of the reports they obtain, but the experience of our MOD team suggests that this is not the case,” a mod which asked to be referred by their username, Gregory_k_zhukov, for privacy, told Ars. They said they had seen problems with the denial of the holocaust and the “clearly aggressive and racist” use of the word n persistent on the layers.
The second mod, which requested anonymity, shared a similar point of view and perceives the recent changes in Reddit policy while attempts to “avoid responsibility”.
“Xenophobia, insults, transphobia, death threats and speeches of pure and simple hatred, calls for violence, disinformation and spam are allowed to engage in these political decisions,” they said.
Gregory_k_zhukov also asked if Reddit automatically deletes the comments written by MOD of profiles. They argued that this makes modding more difficult by limiting the amount of information available, especially if Reddit has already punished a user for similar behavior.
