Moment NATO jets intercept Russian SU-30 warplanes carrying supersonic missiles over the Baltic as Putin taunts the West in latest WW3 show of strength

NATO jets have intercepted two Russian war planes on Su-30 wearing supersonic missiles on the Baltic Sea while Vladimir Putin continues to taunt the west with aggressive shows of the Moscow military force.
The Swedish air force has announced that its fighters Jas 39 Gripen had intercepted two Russian combat aircraft suspected of being armed with KH-31 missiles, a supersonic anti-scratch weapon designed to destroy ships and air defenses.
An IL-20 Signals Intelligence plane was also identified in the mission and quickly escorted.
“The Swedish Air Force is still on alert,” tweeted the account of the country’s armed forces following the successful interception, which was carried out with the help of Denmark.
He arrives in the midst of NATO’s urgent efforts to strengthen the eastern border with larger defenses, after the unprecedented intrusion of Russia in Polish airspace on September 9, while up to 23 drones entered the territory.
Romania then accused Moscow of having violated its airspace on September 13, while Latvia reported a drone crashed in the east.
And on Monday, Poland said that a civilian drone flew over its presidential palace and its government buildings, describing the incident as another “provocation”.
Meanwhile, Putin put NATO on the edge by performing war matches with the Bélarus as part of the Zapad 2025 exercises, which were historically used to test different military strategies before the invasions.

The Swedish Air Force began to conduct operations in international airspace above the Southern Baltic Sea after suspicious interview reports without flight plans and with their deactivated transponders.
Swedish fighter planes then identified and escorted a su-30sm and a su-30sm2 of the Russian Baltic fleet.
The two were equipped with KH-31 air-surface missiles, weapons capable of traveling at speeds until Mach 3 while they enter the defenses of modern ships and destroy enemy ships.
The IL-20M recognition plane has also detected specialties in electronic intelligence (ELINT) and the intelligence of communications (Comint), allowing Moscow to keep track of NATO networks.
The rapid response of Sweden and Denmark shows how Putin’s growing assault put Europe on a alert, some military experts warning that NATO must take recent drone incursions or risk invasion seriously.
“NATO suddenly woke up – or finally woke up,” said Hamish de Bretton -Gordon Obe, a former British army colonel.
“We played at the service of lips at the dividend of peace … by really giving Putin’s impression that we were not disturbed and that we did not doubt it. So, in a way, it is slightly our fault. We have a show resolution now, otherwise it will continue.
European allies rushed to organize an “eastern sentry” mission to strengthen security on the eastern flank, including the deployment of two F-16 fighter planes and a Denmark frigate, three Rafale fighter planes in France and four Eurofighter Germanies.

In the scenes of the Zapad 2025 exercises in Bélarus, fighter planes, attack drones and helicopters flew over a gourmoning training by trees while infantry practiced the dismissal of automatic weapons, mortars and missile systems and combat on motorcycles.
The exercises have upset some neighboring countries, while the Moscow War in Ukraine is putting in its fourth year. Warsaw temporarily closed its border with Belarus as a precaution.
Long Russian and Russian ally, President Alexander Lukashenko allowed Moscow to use the Bélarus to send tens of thousands of soldiers to Ukraine in February 2022 and has since allowed Russia to park tactical nuclear weapons in Bélarus.
Poland sent 40,000 soldiers to be deployed at its eastern border to prepare the exercises, Prime Minister Donald Tusk warning that the West is closest to open the conflicts since the Second World War.
He nicknamed the “very aggressive” military exercises and closed the country’s border with the Bélarus in preparation for the exercises, which started on September 12 and ended on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, successive drone incursions in Eastern European Airspace have aroused calls for tangible support for Ukraine and the neighbors of its West.

Polish Foreign Minister said NATO should start to shoot Russian drones and missiles on Ukraine, a feeling resolved by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and broadcast since the start of the war.
“I called for an adequate exclusion zone in Ukraine against civilian targets and I think NATO should do so,” said Bretton-Gordon. “This kind of resolution will show Putin that we are really, really serious here, and I don’t think we should be covered by Medvedev and Peskov threatening the Second World War if we do this kind of thing.”
Over the past two weeks, Zelensky said on Telegram, Russia, has launched more than 3,500 drones, more than 2,500 powerful sliding bombs and nearly 200 missiles to Ukraine.
