A suspected meteor and white streaks in the sky were spotted over Pennsylvania and Ohio Tuesday morning. The National Weather Service and NASA both confirmed that a fireball fell in northeast Ohio, near Cleveland.

“We are receiving reports in western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio of a loud boom and fireball in the sky. Our satellite data suggests this may have been a meteor entering the atmosphere,” the NWS posted online.

The fireball broke the sound barrier and caused a boom as it landed.
