More Details Emerge About Thwarted Catholic Church Attack, and It’s Worse Than Previously Thought – RedState

New details have appeared on the attacking attack on a Catholic church in Washington, DC, the arrested person having been found with an arsenal of explosives as well as a leftist manifesto attacking members of the Church and the Supreme Court.
My colleague from Redstate, Ward Clark, reported that a man was arrested on Sunday October 5 before the Saint-Matthieu cathedral, before the red mass, which generally attended the judges, marking the start of the mandate of the Supreme Court. The person would have been “in possession of what seemed to be fireworks and liquid vials”.

The Sunday report said:
Officers were assigned to the cathedral early Sunday morning for red mass, which marks the start of the annual mandate of the Supreme Court and is offered to members of the judges, lawyers and anyone working in a legal profession.
At 6 am, police saw Louis Geri, 41, from Arizona and New Jersey, who installed a tent on the steps of the cathedral. Geri had previously had not access to the cathedral, the police said.
Geri refused to leave and was arrested by the police. The agents said they found several suspect objects inside the Geri tent, including liquid bottles and possibly fireworks.
The neutralization team for Washington DC police explosives and police and the criminal fire group has searched GERI’s affairs in the cathedral. Police affirms that the premises have been secured and that there is no threat to the public. The main entrance to the cathedral and the house of houses 1,700 of Rhode Island avenue, in the northwest of DC, remains closed while the investigation continues.
The documents in the file now show exactly how much the suspect, GERI, was armed for the alleged attack.
Attack avoided at the cathedral? DC police say they have found 200 aircraft and a acetone smell emitted by certain bottles, in a tent that a New Jersey man would have installed on the steps of Saint-Matthieu cathedral just hours before annual red mass. The Daily Wire reported the meeting between the police and Geri on the steps of the church.
He said to the police, “You may want to stay behind and call the federal authorities, I have explosives,” said a affidavit.
A member of the anti-bomb brigade of the metropolitan police then told him that he had to move due to a special event. He replied: “I am aware (in reference to red mass)”, wrote the police, and threatened to launch a bomb in the street as a demonstration, adding: “I have more than a hundred”.
Police said that she would expel him against his will, and replied: “Several of your men will die because of one of these cases. With a lighter in one hand, he held out nine pieces of paper that was equivalent to a manifesto entitled “written negotiations to avoid the destruction of goods by detonation of explosives”.
The report then describes the manifesto:
The manifesto “reveals his significant animosity towards the Catholic Church, the members of the Jewish faith, the members of the SCOTUS and the ICE/ICE facilities”, wrote the police, indicating that the incident could be the last of a series of internal left terrorism.
Geri “then moved his right thumb above the butane lighter to trigger the lighting action and said: ‘You would do better than these people to go away, otherwise there will be dead.'”
After its arrest, the anti-bomb team found “a large handmade handmade machine cache” in the tent, police said, according to The Daily Wire.
On Monday, a declaration under an additional oath of the bombs technician was filed by the police concerning the explosives.
The report said:
“More than 200 aircraft were recovered from the D-1 tent. A strong smell of acetone escaped certain bottles. It was determined that part of the liquid was nitromethane. The liquid seemed to be made up of several mixed chemicals together, none in the original containers … The devices seemed to be entirely functional.”
GERI has since been charged with several charges, in particular possession or transport of Molotov cocktails or other explosives for illegal purposes, threats of kidnapping or injury of a person, possession of destructive machines, manufacture or possession of weapons of mass destruction (hatred crime) and resistance to arrest.
Of course, it looks like the police prevented what would have become the last violent attack from the radical left.
Publisher’s note: The Schumer judgment has arrived. Rather than giving priority to the American people, Chuck Schumer and the radical democrats forced the government’s closure in health care for illegal immigrants. They have that.
