IDF shoots terrorist who crossed Yellow Line, ‘posed threat’ to forces on the ground

The army confirmed that soldiers from the IDF’s 7th Brigade struck the terrorist after opening fire to ward off the threat posed.

The Israeli army fired on a terrorist who crossed the Yellow Line and “posed an immediate threat” to soldiers of the 7th Brigade operating in southern Gaza, the army confirmed in a statement Thursday evening.

The soldiers opened fire “in order to avert the threat,” the military said.

“A hit has been identified,” added the army, without knowing whether the terrorist was killed or not.

The Israeli army confirmed Thursday that it had killed the commander of Hamas’s East Rafah battalion, as well as his deputy and his relatives in a strike on Sunday.

In a statement released Thursday, the IDF said Israeli troops killed Muhammad Jawad Muhammad al-Bawab, commander of Hamas’ East Rafah Battalion, who helped carry out the October 7 massacre and attacked IDF troops in Gaza during the war between Israel and Hamas.

Three other terrorists, including al-Bawab’s deputy, died alongside him.
