What to know about the killings of an ‘American Idol’ music supervisor and her husband in LA

Los Angeles – The Los Angeles police officers making a wellness check in a house on Monday discovered two bodies inside with ball wounds. The victims have been identified as Robin Kaye, a long -standing musical supervisor from “American Idol”, and her husband, Thomas Deluca. A day later, the police arrested a 22 -year -old man as part of the killings.
Here’s what you need to know about the case.
The officials said that someone who had not heard of Kaye and Deluca for several days had asked the police to discover his residence in the Encino district, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) in the northwest of the city center of Los Angeles. The police entered the house on Monday afternoon and found a man and a woman slaughtered. Homicide detectives have been called.
The victims were identified Tuesday as Kaye and Deluca, both 70.
The couple had their house in the high -end suburbs of the San Fernando Valley, according to public archives.
Raymond Bodarian, 22, was arrested “without incident” on Tuesday afternoon, police announced in a statement.
Investigators think that Boodarian kicked the house several days earlier while the couple was absent. The police were called to the residence on July 10, but found no sign of a problem or forced entry. Now detectives suspect that Bodarian has managed to enter the house through a unlocked door and was surprised by Kaye and Deluca.
“The victims returned home while the suspect was inside their residence, and a confrontation followed, which made his life take up,” the police press release said. “The victims succumbed to several ball injuries and the suspect fled to the residence on foot.”
The police interviewed friends and family, examined many surveillance videos and recovered evidence from homicide on the scene, officials said.
Bodarian had not yet been assigned to a public defender on Tuesday evening and could not be joined to comment.
Kaye was with “American Idol”, the singing successful television series for over 15 years. She had also worked in the music departments of several other productions such as “The Singing Bee”, “Hollywood Game Night”, “Lip Sync Battle” and several Miss USA and Miss Universe competitions.
“Robin is the cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was really loved and respected by all those who came into contact with them,” said a spokesperson for “American Idol” in a press release. “Robin will stay in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with his family and friends during this difficult period.”
