A group of ingenious mountain bikers fell on a hiker who had disappeared for two days in the robust nature of Idaho and brought it safe last month, the authorities announced.
Heather Wayment, 46, was missing by his family on September 17, one day after being seen for the last time in the region of Prairie Creek in the county of Blaine, Idaho, said the Sheriff’s office of the county of Blaine.
A day later, three mountain bikers who were not part of the research and rescue effort discovered Wayment on a remote path in Camas County about 17 miles from the place where his vehicle was found, the sheriff’s office said.
The mountain mountain, the Tommy brothers and Vinton Gwinn and their friend Shelton Robinson, told East Idaho News that they were traveling from bicycle and annual camping when they suddenly met a woman in underwear and her bloody feet.

Heather Wayment was brought missing by his family on September 17, one day after being seen for the last time in the region of Prairie Creek in the county of Blaine, Idaho, said the Sheriff’s office of the Comté de Blaine. “We stopped because she was obviously in poor condition,” said Gwinn. “She didn’t want help at first. She was afraid and very kept. It took about half an hour before she speaks.”
Gwinn said that the woman had told them her name and that she had been lost, although the group did not recognize her as the hiker who has been missing since they had been and had not listened to the news for a few days.

Wayment was found in the County County desert, about 17 miles from the place where his vehicle was located in the region of Prairie Creek in the county of Blaine, the authorities said. (Bureau du Sheriff du Comté de Blaine, file)
“It’s a truly accidental country,” he said. “She was not on a cycle path and had to review many mountains to arrive where she was. It was so cold at night. It is remarkable that she is still alive.”
While the trio helped the Wayment, three bikers in the ground came on them and recognized Wayment as the disappeared hiker.

The bikers contacted 911 using a satellite phone and the rescuers gave them coordinates where a rescue helicopter would arrive.
“The only safe place for the helicopter to land was in a meadow about half a million below the place we were,” said Robinson. “One of the Dirt Bike runners raised it at the back of his bike and took him to the pending helicopter, saving time for the rescue teams.”

Wayment was transported by plane with unknown injuries to St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Boisse. No update on her condition or how she was lost was immediately provided.
“We are super grateful that we found it,” Robinson told the point of sale. “It is always in the bottom of your mind that something could happen and that you have to be saved. It was cool to see how a real rescue works. I was very impressed.”
The sheriff’s office thanked all the bikers involved for their roles in Wayment rescue.

“We are especially holding back to our deputies from the Sheriff’s Bureau of the Comté de Blaine for their incredible efforts in the last two days, and the mountain bikers who have been able to contact the police, guide the flight of life to Heather and stay next to Heather offering aid until medical assistance can arrive,” said the Sheriff’s office.
