MSU football to reportedly host local high-end 3-star DL this spring

A high-end defensive lineman from the Motor City is reportedly headed to Michigan State in the spring.
Detroit’s Jameer Henry is reportedly headed to Michigan State in the spring, according to 247Sports’ Allen Trieu. He is also expected to visit Illinois and Missouri, according to Trieu.

Henry, who plays for historic Martin Luther King High, is a high-end three-star prospect, with a recruiting grade of 88 in the 247Sports recruiting system. He ranks as Michigan’s No. 8 player and No. 48 defensive lineman in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports. He is also listed as the No. 444 overall prospect in the class.
Michigan State extended an offer to Henry nearly two years ago in October 2023 and is one of nearly 25 schools to offer him, according to 247Sports. He also holds notable offers from Cincinnati, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Pitt, Purdue, Tennessee, USC and Vanderbilt.
