Musk Issues Incendiary Threat To GOP Lawmakers Backing Trump’s Megabill

Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, promises to finance the main challengers against GOP legislators who support the “big and beautiful” bill of President Donald Trump.
Musk has embarked on an intermittent outburst of several weeks against the Trump tax lighter and immigration bill since his role as head of the president of the Ministry of Government (DOGE) in May. He degenerated his criticisms from the huge budgetary package on Monday, committing to end the political careers of the GOP legislators who vote “yes” on the historic bill of the president. “Each member of the Congress who campaigned on reducing public spending, then immediately voted for the highest increase in the debt in history should suspend their heads!” The former head of the Government Ministry of Effectiveness (DOGE) wrote on Monday afternoon on his social media platform X. “And they will lose their primary next year if this is the last thing I do on this land.”
Musk, the founder and CEO of the Tesla electric vehicle manufacturer, spent more than a quarter of a billion dollars in support of Trump’s presidential effort in 2024 and those of other candidates of the GOP in Ballots. The nearly 300 million dollars he spent to support the candidates of the GOP made the billionaire the largest donor during the 2024 electoral cycle.

Musk’s public shine against the legislative center of the second term of Trump is the last indication of his deterioration of his relationship with the president and the republican party. The White House urged the GOP legislators to throw their support behind the president’s bill, arguing that not doing so would constitute the “ultimate betrayal”. Trump demands the bill on his office by July 4, he can therefore sign the bill as a symbolic gesture in honor of the anniversary of America.
The 940 pages of the Senate bill combines an amazing number of the president’s priorities in a single budget package. Notable provisions include a permanent extension of the 2017 President’s tax reductions, historic increases in the financing of the application of immigration and national defense as well as Medicaid reforms to slow the growth of the law program.
The billionaire entrepreneur has excited Trump’s internal policy bill for incorporating an increase of 5 billions of dollars into the debt ceiling, which Musk compared to “debt slavery”. The Kentucky Rand Paul republican senator and representative Thomas Massie undertook to oppose the president’s budget bill, citing the increase in several thieves within the limit of debt.
Musk also called for the creation of a new political party Monday focused on the reintegration of public spending in response to the GOP legislators incorporating a massive increase in the debt ceiling in their bill.
“It is obvious with the crazy expenses of this bill, which increases the ceiling of the debt by a record of five dollars of dollars that we live in a country with single party – Porky Pig Party !!” Musk wrote on X.
The leadership of the Congress GOP replied that the increase in the debt limit is necessary to prevent the government from default on its debt.
Musk also exploded the GOP legislators for having moved to green energy subsidies for wind and solar energy that were promulgated under former president Joe Biden in the president’s historic bill, qualifying the proposal for “completely mad and destructive”.
Tesla and its solar energy and battery storage division, Tesla Energy, would notably benefit from continuous subsidies for residential solar and electric vehicles (EV). Despite Musk previously pleading for the elimination of all government grants, he put pressure on the congress to preserve a tax credit of 7,500 EV which would benefit Tesla, the daily reported. The two chambers put the EV tax credit on the Cup block in their proposals project despite Musk calls.
The Ohio Republican Senator, Bernie Moreno, was perplexed on the reason why Musk would not support the bill, telling the Daily Caller News Foundation that the bill “really reduced expenses”.
“I do not know why he would be angry with the bill. That’s a lot of great things,” said Moreno. “There is not even a final bill yet. I think it is a little unfair to prejudge a bill that has not been adopted.”
Virginia-Western Republican senator Jim Justice said Musk is a “good guy” and that Congress should be grateful for the work he has done with Doge. He also called the Musk ego on the post.
“I am sure that Elon has a real ego, and sometimes the Egos can really compete. The most chic thing in the world we could do is leave the food struggle,” the judge told the DCNF.

The version of the Senate of the President’s “Big and Beautiful” could spend on Monday evening. The House looks at a vote on Wednesday to examine the proposal modified by the Senate.
