My favourite headphones aren’t from Sony or Bose – and this fantastic 37% EOFY discount means you can hear it for yourself

In case you have not noticed, Eofy sales are still in force in Australia and, as expected, the annual sales event has launched superb offers on the left, right and center. For me, however, there is an agreement that stands out in particular – a 37% discount on Sonos ACE headphones at The Good Guys.
The ACE headphones have practically been stuck to my head since they launched about a year ago and, although I know that they received a good amount of backlash, I think there is a lot to love in the first helmet attempt by the famous loudspeaker.
And even if I had to grimacted at their launch price of $ 699 at, this discount falls them at only $ 439 in. So now, I cannot recommend them strong enough-maybe more than the new Sony Wh-1000XM6, which will not see any discounts anytime.
Sonos offered his ACE helmet with a certain number of connectivity options, including Bluetooth, Aptx Adaptive and Snapdragon Sound, for the devices that support it. It is also possible to connect via a cable to allow a lossless high resolution audio from compatible sources.
Their main celebration tip, however, is the possibility of connecting to a sound bar – the ultra arc, the arc, the radius and the two generations of beams are all supported – and to the touch of a button on the headphones, the sound will be in the place of your sound bar towards the ACE. Sonos appropriately calls this TV audio swap, and if you have a sound bar that supports Dolby Atmos, you will also get Dolby Atmos from ACE headphones.
Thanks to a recent software update, they now support the Truecinema functionality planned, which creates an even more immersive spatial experience when searching for films. The update also inaugurated improvements in the performance of the ANC and, at heart, I believe that this has definitely worked. Whether I wear them at home and my partner is sitting next to me during a work call, or I’m on the train to work in the morning, I can barely hear a whisper. They are certainly up there with the best noise cancellation headphones.
Now, I’m not going to say that they are the most pair of lengths with absolute sound, a feeling shared by our tester in our review Sonos Ace, but I always find them completely pleasant to use for music daily. I mainly listen to dance and electronic music, and I am more than satisfied with their performance.
The consensus at the time of our examination was that, compared to rivals at similar prices such as the Apple Airpods Max and Bose Quietcolfort Ultra headphones, AS Sonos did not quite do enough to justify their high price. And now, with the Sony Wh-1000XM6 on the market, this is always the case.
However, with this significant reduction in prices, these same scruples are easier to forgive. They are always definitely an energetic listening with a large bass weight, and they are able to choose good details of your favorite songs. In addition, noise cancellation is effective for these morning trips. Oh, and did I mention how comfortable they are? I wore my pair for an entire eight -hour work day and I didn’t feel tired, which I can’t say of many other pairs.
