NASA Awards Spaceflight Operations, Systems Organization Contract

NASA has awarded Ascend Aerospace & Technology of Cape Canaveral, Florida, the contract for the organization of space flight operations and mission systems (COSMOS), to provide services to the Agency Space Center in Houston.
The Cosmos is a single price, an indefinite / indefinite delivery contract of indefinite value worth 1.8 billion dollars which begins its basic period of five years at the beginning of December 1, with two options which could extend until 2034. The company Aérodyne de Cape Canaveral, Florida and Jacobs Technology Company of Tullahoma, Tennessee joint venture.
The work carried out within the framework of the contract will support the NASA flight operations department, including Orion and Space Launch System programs, the international space station, the commercial crew and the Artemis campaign. Services include mission control center systems, training systems, modeling environments and training for astronauts, instructors and flight controllers.
