Trump Makes Last-Ditch Effort to Save New York City From Certain Death – RedState
President Donald Trump made a last-ditch effort to prevent New York City mayoral candidate, democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani, from a possible victory by endorsing former Democratic New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for mayor.
On Monday, Trump officially chose sides and threw his support behind independent candidate Cuomo over Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa, who is currently struggling to garner enough support to stop Mamdani.
In his Truth Social article, he also attempted to warn New Yorkers of the damage Mamdani could do to “the greatest city in the world.”

“If communist candidate Zohran Mamdani wins the election for mayor of New York, it is very unlikely that I will contribute federal funds, other than the minimum required, for my beloved first home, because, as a communist, this once great city has no chance of success, or even survival!” Read Trump’s message.
“The situation can only get worse with a communist at the helm, and I don’t want to throw money after money as president,” he added. “It is my obligation to lead the nation, and I firmly believe that New York City will be a complete and utter economic and social disaster if Mamdani wins.”
“Its principles have been tested for over a thousand years, and they have never been successful,” Trump continued, emphasizing the failure of communism wherever it has been tried. “I would much rather see a Democrat win, who has had a record of success, than a Communist with no experience and a record of complete and utter failure.”

New report alleges massive Soros support for New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s campaign
President Trump then pointed out that when Mamdani was a congressman, he “ranked at the bottom of the class.”
“We must also remember this: a vote for Curtis Sliwa (who looks much better without a beret!) is a vote for Mamdani,” Trump concluded. “Whether you personally like Andrew Cuomo or not, you really have no choice. You have to vote for him and hope he does a fantastic job. He is capable of it, Mamdani is not!”
It’s unclear whether Trump’s support will be enough to turn things around in the mayoral race, which, as of Monday, appears to be squarely in Mamdani’s back pocket.
According to an Atlas Intel poll, the numbers as of Monday morning, as we head into Election Day on November 4, looked like the following:

Ultimately, it comes down to math. If a small portion of those currently considering voting for Silwa voted for Cuomo, it would be enough to prevent the self-described democratic socialist, i.e. communist, from scoring a victory Tuesday night.
