The Chicago Bulls have already exchanged one of their best scorers last season when they sent Zach Lavine to Sacramento Kings on the deadline. Could they move another of their Hautocyte guards before the start of the 2025-26 campaign?

Coby White was launched in speculation on the trade lets go of this offseason, the former first round choice preparing to enter the last year of his contract. However, it does not seem that the Bulls are in a hurry to send it.

An NBA leader told Ashish Mathur du Dallas Hoops Journal that Chicago would probably not trade in White soon.

“I know that several teams have tried to trade for Coby this summer,” said the executive. “There were chatter that he was almost exchanged on the evening of the draft. The Bulls love him, however. He is not going anywhere. They made commercial requests fall for him.”

Well, if Chicago loves him so much, maybe he was not almost treated the night of the draft after all? Unless, of course, that the Bulls received a fairly heavy offer for the young person.

White has an average of a career summit of 20.4 points per game last season, adding 4.5 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 33.1 minutes per night. He achieved all of this on 45.3 / 37.0 / 90.2 for shooting separations, good for a real shooting percentage of 60.1%.

The 25 -year -old has also shown a significant improvement on the defensive side of the ball, although his overall exit at this end leaves much to be desired.

But even if White only plays one end of the soil, it could be enough for Chicago to take long term, especially since the bulls do not abound exactly of prolific scorers.

White, who played his college basketball in North Carolina, was selected by Chicago with the seventh choice in total of the 2019 NBA draft. He finished fifth in the recruit vote of the year during his first campaign, but his progression has largely stalled in the next seasons.

Then, in 2023-24, White made a kind of gap, recording 19.1 points, 5.1 assists and 4.5 boards over 36.5 minutes per match while pulling 44.7% of the soil, 37.6% of the beach of three points and 83.8% of the free throw line.

White’s efficiency has definitely seen a noticeable jump last season, which could indicate that he finally turned a corner. In addition, the native of Goldsboro, NC will only earn $ 12.9 million in 2025-26, making it a good deal for Bulls.

Chicago went 39-43 last season and made the playoffs only once since the 2017-18 campaign. The Bulls have also posted only one record for victories since 2016-2017.
