Nestle said on Wednesday that he would eliminate artificial colors from his food and American drinks in the middle of 2026.

It is the last large food company that makes this commitment. Last week, Kraft Heinz and General Mills said that they would remove the artificial dyes of their American products by 2027. General Mills also said that he planned to remove artificial colors from his American cereals and all the foods served in K-12 schools in the middle of 2026.

This decision has wide support. According to an AP-Noc survey, about two thirds of Americans promote the restriction or reformulation of processed foods to eliminate ingredients such as sugar or dyes. California and Virginia-Western have recently prohibited artificial dyes in foods served in schools.

Sunday, the Greg ABBOTT Republican Governor of Texas signed a bill requiring foods manufactured with artificial colors or additives to contain a new security label from 2027. The label would say containing ingredients “not recommended for human consumption” in Australia, Canada, the European Union or the United Kingdom

The federal government is also intensifying its meticulous colors meticulous examination. In January, a few days before President Donald Trump took office, American regulators prohibited the color called Red 3 from the country’s food supply, almost 35 years after it was prohibited from cosmetics due to the potential risk of cancer.

In April, Trump Secretary of Health, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the FDA commissioner, Marty Makary, said that the agency would take measures to eliminate synthetic dyes by the end of 2026, largely based on the voluntary efforts of the food industry.

Nestlé is committed to eliminating artificial colors before. In early 2015, the company said it would eliminate the flavors and artificial colors from its products by the end of this year. But the promise did not hold.

Nestle said on Wednesday that it had removed synthetic dyes from its products in the past decade, and 90% of its American portfolio did not contain them. Among those who do it, Strawberry milk with Nesquik banana, which is made with Red 3.

Nestle said on Wednesday that he wanted to evolve with the nutritional needs and preferences of its American customers.

“Serving and delighting people is at the heart of everything we do and each decision we make,” said the American CEO of Nestlé, Marty Thompson, in a statement.
