‘Done Exporting Jobs’ – RedState

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick stood before the elite World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos on Tuesday and wasted no time in delivering an opening salvo, undermining globalist orthodoxy.
Speaking before a panel surrounded by world leaders and business titans who have long championed offshoring, cheap foreign labor and borderless trade for the United States, Lutnick contrasted those views with the familiar, unapologetic America First ethos pushed by President Trump. It was a solid setup for the president’s next appearance at the WEF.
“The Trump administration and I are here to make a very clear point: globalization has failed the West and the United States of America,” Lutnick announced. “It’s a policy that has failed. This is what the WEF stands for, namely exporting, abroad, abroad, finding the cheapest labor in the world, and the world is better for it.”
“The fact is, he left America behind. He left American workers behind. And what we’re here to say is that ‘America First’ is a different model, a model that we encourage other countries to consider, which is that our workers come first.”
The Commerce Department released a video of Lutnick’s comments about X, adding that they were “done” exporting American jobs.
Globalization has failed.

Lutnick’s outright rejection of the WEF’s sacred cow of globalization undoubtedly sets the tone for what will happen when the president makes his own remarks: no excuses, no concessions, just a fierce defense of prioritizing American jobs, security and sovereignty. What an idea.
Trump’s cabinet member didn’t just dismantle globalization: he turned his fire to the green energy agenda constantly peddled by WEF supporters. He roundly mocked their rush to solar and wind power as a recipe for economic suicide.
“Why are you going to do solar and wind? Why would Europe agree to reach net zero emissions in 2030 when they don’t make batteries? They don’t make batteries,” he said, exasperated by the idea.
Lutnick adds that engaging in such indiscriminate pursuits for the sake of the environment will make them “submissive to China.”
The looks from the other panelists are absolute gold. They seem a little shaken.
Lutnick in Davos: “Why are you going to do solar and wind? Why would Europe agree to reach net zero emissions in 2030 when it doesn’t make batteries? It doesn’t make batteries! So if it goes until 2030, it decides to submit to China.” (Get a glimpse of the looks on the other panelists… pic.twitter.com/f0uw7ZHcul

The total rejection of globalists who virtue signal to their faces is glorious.
Lutnick’s comments are a solid warm-up for President Trump. The president’s arrival in Davos is generating massive anticipation due to his aggressive efforts to acquire Greenland and tariff threats against European countries.
European elites are sweating right now. GOOD.
