New Jersey man gets 6 years for child porn and having sex with dogs

A 27-year-old New Jersey man has been sentenced to prison for having sex with dogs and possessing child pornography.
The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office announced Monday that Hunter Roy will serve six years in prison after pleading guilty to animal cruelty and endangering the welfare of a child.
An investigation opened in May found that Roy distributed more than 9,000 files depicting sex with a child. He also “communicated in a sexual manner” with a minor boy to whom he allegedly sent child pornography material (CSAM). An arrest took place shortly afterwards.
That investigation further revealed that Roy had recorded himself engaging in sexual acts with two dogs, including a Rottweiler, according to prosecutors. The Maple Shade man was also accused of trading these images for recordings of others engaging in acts of bestiality. NBC 10 in Philadelphia reported that the second animal Roy abused was a small dog.
Information provided to prosecutors by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children initially drew attention to Roy’s online activity. Authorities seized several electronic devices from his residence. Roy pleaded guilty in September. Prosecutors said he was convicted last week.
