Bean curd recalled because of undeclared allergen

Gansu Zhaofeng Agricultural Development Co. Ltd. in the industrial concentration zone of Hui County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, recalled 500 gram bags of G&L FOOD dried tofu for failing to declare wheat allergen.

People with allergies or sensitivities to wheat are at risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products, according to the company’s recall notice.

The recall was initiated after an FDA inspection found the product label did not list wheat, a component of soy sauce, as an allergen.

G&L FOOD 500g/bag dried tofu products are sold primarily to restaurants and retail stores in the Bay Area of ​​Northern California.

The recalled 500 gram bags have UPC number 6976325560236 and expiration dates of 10/25/2025, 06/11/2026 and 06/20/2026. The coding location is on the back of the bag.

To date, no illnesses or adverse reactions associated with this issue have been reported.
