NFL Analyst Utters Bold Take on Giants Rookie Jaxson Dart
Before the 2025 season, the quarter position will be a main focus point for the New York giants. While sailing short and in the long term, an analyst thinks that the team should make a radical change before the start of the year.
After cutting Daniel Jones halfway from last year, the giants are in a transition phase under the center. They corrected this problem in many ways with veterans in young people. With inking Russell Wilson at a one -year agreement in a free agency, they wrote Jaxson Dart 25th in the general classification after exchanging in the back of the first round.
For Wilson, this is his third team in as many years. After a terrible mandate with the Broncos de Denver, he shared time with Justin Fields as a starting QB for Pittsburgh’s Steelers. Through 11 departures, Wilson displayed a 6-5 file with 2,482 yards and 16 affected.

While in the show of breakfast ball earlier this week, NFL analyst Mark Schlereth gave his opinion on the Giants QB staff before this season. Before taking a shot for the team, he thinks that New York should cut Wilson and open a way for Dart to be the starter in 2025.
“The giants should cut Russell Wilson and start Jaxson Dart,” said Schlereth. “For me, if you have written Jaxson Dart and you are a list at the moment that has had trouble and you are in a division that has Philly, who has Washington, who has a cowboy team that plans to rebound, you start your recruit and you go with growing pain.”

Schlereth asserts a valid point with regard to the state of the giants in the NFC East. All the teams surrounding them are impatient to face at the moment, and they are in the middle of a reconstruction. For this reason, trying to be a team in the middle of the pack with a veteran QB on a one -year agreement makes little sense. Instead, they should focus on the development of talent which, according to them, will be their response to the position in the predictable future.
A team from the NFC East is also an excellent example of the advantages of launching your young QB in the mixture right away. Jayden Daniels set up an impressive season recruited last year, which made Washington commanders made the playoffs. Although Dart was not a choice among the first two like him, he was still one of the valued quarters of his respective class.
While the giants already seem to be at the top of Dart, it seems that Wilson will open the 2025 season as a New York Starter.
