No. 5 best 2026 recruit Olivia Vukosa set to visit Lady Longhorns

After one of their best seasons of recent memory, the female Longhorns basketball team has higher expectations than ever. Although they focus on the 2025 campaign, they also have their eyes on the future. On Saturday, they received good news on the Front recruiting while the recruit in 2026, Olivia Vukosa, set a date for her visit to the forty acres.

Currently, Vukosa is classified as the fifth best player in her class by 247sports. They also classify it as the best center and New York player in its class. This is why Longhorns have made her a priority while fighting against some of the country’s best programs. Their competition includes Ohio State and North Carolina.

The New York will start its recruitment tour on August 28 during its visit to Ohio State. A week later, she will be in Austin to meet the Longhorns on September fifth. She will then take a few weeks off before going to Chapel Hill to visit the Tar Heels on October 25.

While the recruitment season heats up, Vokusa will probably have more visits than currently planned on its calendar. It is good news for Texas that she had a visit with Longhorns a priority from the start. The key to the head coach Vic Schaefer and his staff will make the talented center an offer that she cannot refuse.

If Longhorns were to land Vokusa, she would be their first commitment in the 2026 class. They also made offers to Abuna Ruop, McKenna Woliczko, Jacy Abii and Addison Bjorn. Adding it one of them to the mixture would give the Longhorns a major boost.

Without the date of engagement set, it will take months before Vokusa made a final decision. Fortunately for Texas, they will be able to assert their arguments from the start before many programs made their argument. Until then, Schaefer will prepare to show Vokusa why his university career should start with the Longhorns.
