On Monday, the latest New York Mets alignment movements raised the eyebrows before their series against the rival of the National League East Atlanta Braves.

Lovelady was activated for the team’s game against the Braves, and baseball fans reacted on social networks. MLB.com reported that Lovelady, whose first name is Richard, asked fans, staff members and teammates to call him Dicky.

Lovelady, 29, was a choice of 10th round of the state of Kennesaw by the Royals of Kansas City in 2016. He made his debut for the Royals in 2019. He did not appear in the majors in 2022 but resurfaced with the Oakland Athletics in 2023.

Lovelady launched for the Cubs of Chicago and Tampa Bay Rays in 2024 and was with the Blue Jays de Toronto for two appearances earlier this season.

In 110 career games, Lovelady has a 5.26 MPM with 93 stick withdrawals.

The dishes entered Monday evening with a file of 46-32 and a match behind the Philadelphia Phillies for the head of NL East. The Braves sat down 11 games behind the Phillies.

New York has treated a series of arm injuries this season. Starting Tylor Megill and Kodai Senga were both injuries earlier this month, as is the Max Kranick lifter, and landed on the injured list.
