Nyt Strands Today (Game # 519) – The answers

The answers to today’s strands, the game # 519, are…
- RAZOR
- Cap
- Mower
- COMB
- MOWER
- After-sharing
- Spangram: Barbershop
- My note: Easy
- My score: Perfect
The letter Z has given today an obvious starting point, Razor immediately eliminating all mystery on the theme. Unless, like me, you first saw the word non-game “slice”.
I only learned that the origins of the traditional lounge pole come from days when barbers also carried out surgeries and their regular activities – a one -stop shop where you could have a amputated leg, your teeth drawn and a quick garnish – with the blood symbolizing red and the blue veins.
Fortunately, these days, barbers have reduced their offers to those that can be made using scissors, mowers and a mower. If you see a saw on the counter, I suggest you make a quick exit.
Responses from the Strandes du Nyt yesterday (Sunday August 3, match # 518)
- Sleeve
- PUFF
- ERROR
- MISTAKE
- Grind
- Loop
- Blunder
- SPANGRAM: GOOF SPORTIF
