San Diego Man Impersonating ICE Agent Violently Attacks Latino Man
A 40-year-old man allegedly walked into a San Diego McDonald’s, asked to speak to the manager and violently grabbed his head, all while claiming to be an ICE agent.
“Why do you think your 911 calls aren’t working?” » Joshua Cobb can be heard recounting the incident to McDonald’s employees last week in a video. “Why do you think that? Why do you think I’m willing to get punched twice in the face by a fucking illegal immigrant while I’m making an Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrest?”

In San Diego, a man posed as an ICE agent, grabbed a McDonald’s employee by the neck and threatened to deport him.
He was not part of the police force.

“He grabbed me from the back, grabbed my neck really hard,” general manager Daniel Martinez said. said ABC 10 News. “So when that happened, all my colleagues jumped on him and he let go, but after that he just hit me in the side.”
In this case, the employees knew Cobb was not an ICE agent because he frequented their McDonald’s. He showed no ICE identification and was just wearing a T-shirt and a backwards hat. He was then arrested.
This is not the first time this has happened. Police arrested a man in Galveston, Texas, in December for impersonating an ICE agent. Wearing full (albeit cheap) tactical gear, Joshua Warner, 44, allegedly attempted to arrest two people, telling the civilians who confronted him that he did not need to give them his name or badge number.
“I’ve never seen a policeman in a uniform like that, with his tool belt and all his stuff… they looked like they just came from Temu or Amazon or something,” one witness told reporters.
It seems incredibly, even alarmingly, easy for any middle-aged loser to create chaos and act out whatever racist GI Joe fantasies he has under the guise of being a federal agent. And the aggressive and indiscriminate actions of the real ones don’t help.
