Obama Stumps for Spanberger at Event
Barack Obama was stumped at a rally for Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger on Saturday.
Spanberger still leads Republican nominee Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears in the polls, but if they take Obama out, you know they must think they have to.
Obama argued that you should vote for Spanberger because “she knows that if we want to make progress on the things we care about, we have to be able to disagree without insulting or demonizing each other.”

But who was also present at the gathering? The very man behind the disturbing text scandal, their nominee for attorney general, Jay Jones. So if Obama is calling for demonizing each other, why is he appearing at the same rally with Jay Jones? How can we take seriously what Obama or Spanberger say, when they are always at his side? They really have no shame.

“We have a president who thinks it’s OK to use the Justice Department…to go after his political opponents,” Obama said. Imagine the courage to make that kind of statement. It also had another twist.

Imagine the hypocrisy and absolute irony of this statement:
Health premiums for millions of people are on track to double or even triple next year. Meanwhile, the government is paralyzed and the Republicans currently running Congress won’t even pretend to solve the problem. They didn’t even show up for work. Not in session. Where are you? What are you doing?
And as for the president, he focused on crucial issues like paving the Rose Garden so people don’t get mud on their shoes, gilding the Oval Office and building a $300 million ballroom.
Um, Obama imposed Obamacare on us, and it wasn’t affordable care. The subsidy controversy highlighted this. And it was the Democrats who caused the shutdown, so what about the Republicans? The GOP issued a clear continuing resolution. Democrats refuse to vote for this plan and don’t care who might get hurt in the process.
Obama isn’t telling the truth about the rest either. Trump didn’t “pave the Rose Garden”: he laid limestone tiles so that Rose Garden events wouldn’t cause people’s shoes to sink in the mud. All the roses are still there, and in better condition, thanks to the efforts of First Lady Melania Trump.
Additionally, Trump asked private and corporate donors to donate money for the ballroom because the White House needed event space. As we reported, even the Washington Post said it was a good idea and “privately” Obama and Biden officials admitted it. So Trump gave America much-needed event space that can be used for free in perpetuity. Democrats think this needs to be addressed, which is why they failed and why Obama talked a lot but failed to get anything done. They should praise Trump for what he has done for the country.
As we noted with Obama, he seems to have trouble even climbing his presidential center without a problem.

Obama will also travel to New Jersey to campaign for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mikie Sherrill. The race is very close and Republican candidate Jack Ciattarelli could well win a surprise victory.
Democrats are worried because Trump made gains in New Jersey and Virginia, and improved his vote share among black and Hispanic voters. They should be worried, because the American public rightly views them as extremists. You even saw Obama embrace New York’s unflinching mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, calling his campaign “impressive.”
Let’s get out, vote, and make sure extremists don’t come to power.
