Officer Injured in Gun-Controlled California, Shooter Remains at Large

An officer was injured Wednesday afternoon around 1:45 p.m. in Santa Monica, California, controlled by weapon, and a shooting suspect remains in freedom.
There was apparently a shooting and CBS News reported that an officer had approached the suspect and had been injured “near Santa Monica Place, located near the 4th Street and avenue Colorado”.
The officer was transported to hospital in an unknown state.
Although a shooting took place, NBC Los Angeles noted that it is not clear if the officer was shot down. “
