US House committee requests Epstein ‘birthday book’ from his estate

ReutersAn American panel investigating the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein asked that the testamentary executors produce a certain number of documents, including a book that would have contained personal messages for its 50th anniversary.
The assignment of James Comer, the head of the chamber’s supervisory committee, represents an expansion of his investigation into Epstein, the pedophile financier in disgrace parade.
Last month, the Wall Street Journal reported that the birthday book that its partner Ghislaine Maxwell created in 2003 contained bids of various Epstein knowledge, including a debauchery note bearing the name of Donald Trump, which was then his friend.
Trump denied having written such a letter.
The president said that the alleged note was “false” and had started to defam the procedure against the parent company of the newspaper and its owner, Rupert Murdoch. The company, Dow Jones, has kept its reports and promised to combat the legal affair.
The assignment of Commer requests that the testamentary executors of Epstein’s succession provide “all the inputs contained in the book linked to the leather reported by Ms. Ghislaine Maxwell”. It gives a deadline of September 8 for the item to be returned.
A lawyer for the Epstein domain confirmed the receipt of the request and said that the testamentary executors “would comply with the whole legal process in this case, and this includes the assignment of the committee”.
Among other articles, he also asked for any non-disclosure agreement signed by Epstein over a period of three decades, and his will preceding his death in prison in 2019.
It also requires “any document or file which could be reasonably interpreted as a potential list of customers involved in sex, sexual acts or sex traffic” by Epstein.
It has been suggested that unpublished EPSTEIN files could contain a so -called customer list that could involve high -level partners in addition to Maxwell in its criminal operation.
However, the United States Ministry of Justice and the FBI said that there was no list of this type.
And for his part, Maxwell – who is serving a prison sentence for his participation in Epstein offenses – also denied that there was a list, recently questioned by a head of the Ministry of Justice (DoJ).
But conspiracy theories persist.
And for weeks, Trump was haunted by the words “Epstein files”, while the pressure rises from his supporters and his eminent personalities in his own republican party for more transparency on previous investigations on Epstein Discovered.
As part of his own investigation, Comer published assignments to the United States Ministry of Justice (DOJ) and high -level personalities earlier, including former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Reports have emerged that Trump himself was informed in May by the Attorney General Pam Bondi that his name had appeared in files related to investigations.
He was friends with Epstein for a few years ago, according to Trump’s account, they fell around 2004. Being appointed in the files would not be proof of criminal activity, and Trump was never accused of reprehensible acts related to Epstein.
While campaigning for the presidency, Trump said that it would be open to make more information public. But he recently changed his position, saying that the case was closed and criticizing his own supporters who continued to press him.
