One Wisconsin Badger makes The Athletic’s preseason All-Big Ten team
The Large Vinny Anthony recipient is the only representative of Wisconsin in the All-Big Ten pre-season team of athletics.
The upward senior did not make the team as a wide receiver. Instead, he was the specialist in the return of the second team from the point of sale.
Anthony led the badgers by receiving last season with 39 receptions, 672 yards and four affected. The campaign in small groups was a substantial improvement after its release of 10 shots and 99 yards in the second year in 2023. In 2025, it is ready to punctuate the Wisconsin reception room when it adapts to the professional style offensive by Jeff Grimes.
But again, Anthony was not recognized for his production and his role leading the wide receiver room of the badgers. The large athletics teams on All-Big Ten teams are Jeremiah Smith of Ohio State (Premier), Elijah Sarratt from Indiana (first), Denzel Boston de Washington (first), Nick Marsh (second) of Ohio State of Ohio (second) and Makai Lemon (second).
Anthony has been a reliable kick return option for badgers in the past two seasons. He first won the role in 2023, taking 11 kicks for 217 yards and nine covers of clearance for 85 yards. He followed this with 14 kicks for 390 yards and seven returns of booty clearance for 26 yards in 2024.
While the veteran of the Wisconsin has not yet pierced and kicked off or a boost at home, he turns out to be one of the best talents of the big ten in position. It is reasonable to expect that its capacity to affect the big game translates from the offensive saddle to the special teams.
