Oops! FBI Chief Undermines Trump’s Main Reason for Taking Over D.C.
The Trump administration deploys the National Guard in Washington for an assumed “public security” – but it does not seem to resist its reason to do so.
A few moments after the president said on Monday that the federalization of Washington’s police was justified on the grounds that the city was a landscape of hell sung by crime, FBI director Kash Patel, said that was not the case.
Instead, Patel boasted that the country’s homicide rate had reached a weakness, effectively disentanging the justification of the administration for having forced the Metropolitan Police Department and the DC National Guard to take control of the national capital.
“The murder rates fall”, Patel said. “We are now able to point out that the murder rate is on the right track to be the lowest in American history.”

Violent crimes have been down DC since 2023, surrounding a decrease in crime nationwide the following year which saw homicide rates across the country, reported The Washington Post. In 2024, crime in the capital fell by 35%, according to data from the metropolitan police service.
But instead of relying on this data to inform whether or not it had to strip Washington of its autonomy, Trump refers to Monday to Obsolete Statistics 2023Affirming that the city was shown in crime and was to be under the thumb of the Attorney General Pam Bondi.
“If our capital is dirty, our whole country is dirty and they do not respect us,” said Trump.
Trump also suggested that the The same fate could happen to other cities All in the country, although he has only specified liberal hubs.
“We also have other cities that are bad. Very bad. You look at Chicago, how bad it is. You look at Los Angeles, how bad it is. We have other cities that are very bad. New York has a problem. And then, of course, you have Baltimore and Oakland. You don’t even mention them anymore, they are so far.”
Later, when they were asked explicitly if other cities were the next on his list, Trump said: “We are just going to see what’s going on. We are going to have a huge success with what we are doing.”
But what is happening in Washington should serve as a disastrous warning to the rest of the country that the administration will make its program progress with or without legitimate reason and based on facts.
“Other cities, hopefully, look at that … And maybe they will self-assist and maybe they self-spell and get rid of the surety without species and all the things that caused the problem,” said Trump.
