OpenAI’s new GPT-5 models announced early by GitHub

Github has accidentally announced the new range of OPENAIs of GPT-5 models. A GitHub blog article now deleted reveals that GPT-5, which will be available in four different versions, offers “major improvements in reasoning, code quality and user experience”.

Reddit posters have noticed a new GitHub blog article announcing that GPT-5 is generally available in GitHub models, before the blog post is quickly deleted. An archived version reveals that the GPT-5 will have “improved agent capacities” and can manage “complex coding tasks with minimum incentive”.

I revealed last month that Optai was preparing to launch the GPT-5 in early August, with mini and nano versions which will also be available via its API. Earlier this week, several Openai employees began to tease that it would be a big week, and the CEO of Openai, Sam Altman, even teased the GPT-5 during the weekend.

Openai almost confirmed that he was launching GPT-5 later during the day, with the announcement of a “Live5tream” for 10 am PT / 13H he. The launch of the OPENAI GPT-5 is in the same week that the company also delivered two Open-Weight GPT-ASS models, with a fairly small to operate locally on a PC.
