An entertainment reporter shared a photo of the trash-strewn theater after the event, writing alongside it: “Clean ALL the aisles. »

In the photo, the upper floor of the theater was covered in trash.

Food crumbs, popcorn, food boxes, water bottles and other items were scattered on the floor and seats.

Reacting to the photo, one person said: “The rich leave their filth to the poor as always. »

“Is it difficult not to leave your trash on the floor? » asked a second.

But others pointed out that the photo depicted the upper floors, which are typically used to accommodate family, friends and guests.

One person wrote: “I’m not defending this in any way, but isn’t this a photo of one of the upper floors where family, friends and guests are sitting? Not the actual nominees?”

Another added: “This isn’t where the celebrities and stars sit, is it? This is the area for family, general public and members of the general academy, right?”

And a third wrote: “I don’t care who was sitting in those seats, CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF!!!!!! you do it at home, why not in public too?????”

It comes after Hollywood’s biggest night saw many well-deserved winners take home gongs at Sunday night’s iconic ceremony.
