New Video Wrecks Trump Team’s Claims About Minnesota ICE Shooting

A new video shows a new perspective on the minutes leading up to the killing of Renee Good by a federal immigration agent and casts further doubt on the Trump administration’s smears.

The video obtained by CNN Thursday evening, Good’s Honda Pilot was shown arriving at the scene of the incident about four minutes before the shooting. A person appeared to get out of Good’s car, before she drove perpendicularly onto the road. The new footage showed that Good was not completely blocking the street, as cars could pass it on both sides.

The new video appears to show that ICE arrived suddenly and aggressively, and that Good was not blocking their path at all.

First images of the incidentfilmed from another angle, showed Good waving at officers and inviting them to “go around” his vehicle. Instead, ICE agents swarmed his vehicle, shooting down the doors and demanding he “get out of the damn car!” » One witness even stated that another agent ordered him to leave. When Good attempted to walk away from the group of officers, an officer standing near the front of the vehicle shot him at least three times.

Yet Vice President JD Vance claimed As of Thursday, Good was a “deranged leftist” who was “part of a larger left-wing network” and “was there to interfere with a legitimate law enforcement operation.”

Members of the Trump administration, including Stephen Miller and Kristi Noem, have claimed that Good was a sort of “domestic terrorist”. And President Donald Trump went so far as to claim that she knocked down one of the officers, before watching the video it seems.

But the video evidence – of which there is plenty – does not support these claims at all. When asked about this shadowy network that Good was supposedly a part of, Vance replied, “Well, it’s one of those things that we’re going to have to find out.” Apparently it may take some time to concoct anything to back up his outrageous lies.
