Overreactions from Bills win over Dolphins: Mike McDaniel gets another chance? Tua Tagovailoa no franchise QB?

Miami dolphins were certainly the team that the NFL spoke of heading around week 3 – for all bad reasons. Coach Mike McDaniel was on the hot seat while Miami lost erupting against the Indianapolis colts in week 1 and New England Patriots during week 2. Two mediocre losses questioned the future to Miami, sending the dolphins in an essential situation against Buffalo bills.
Miami did not obtain the victory in Buffalo, but the Dolphins made a valiant effort before falling at 0-3. Bills have improved at 3-0, having a dominant advance in AFC East just three weeks before the season.
The Bills were tested, but they have proven why they could be the team to beat in the NFL this season. Dolphins did not look like a disaster, so it is a victory in Miami.
There have been a lot of excessive reactions from the Bills’ victory over dolphins. Which were indeed excessive reactions and which were true?
Mike McDaniel should remain the Dolphin coach
Excessive reaction or reality: Reality
It doesn’t matter how poor the dolphins were in the first two weeks, and no matter how hot a seat, it should not be dismissed after the dolphins fell to 0-3. The dolphins played a short week, putting the bills on the verge of Buffalo. It is not an easy task.
The dolphins were tied with the Bills in the fourth quarter and had the chance to link the match for the third time with 3:06 to play. Miami went to the 21 yard line of Buffalo before the interception of Tua Tagovailoa essentially sealed the victory of the Bills, taking a valiant performance by a team of dolphins who needed it.
The 0-3 record seems bad, the same goes for the 1-14 record against the teams that entered with a victory record after Thursday’s defeat against the Bills. Dolphins have always proven that they had not yet abandoned McDaniel, so he bought himself more time as a coach. But Miami cannot lose against New York Jets at home at a 10 -day rest.
Tua Tagovailoa is not the QB franchise in Miami
Excessive reaction or reality: Overreaction
There are a lot of criticism with regard to Tagovailoa, especially given his story of concussion. Even with all the head injuries, Tagovailoa was a good quarter to Miami – having a score of 10+ passers -by in three consecutive years, while leading the league in touch rate (6.3%) and in yards by attempt (8.9) in 2022, passing through last year.
This year was not an excellent start for Tagovailoa, because his interception of the fourth quarter with 3:06 to play was his fourth in three games this season. Tagovailoa launched for only 146 yards and has only made an average of 4.3 yards per attempt in loss, figures that were unusual. The two interceptions in the fourth quarter also did not help the cause of Tagovailoa (80.2 in the fourth quarter).
Dolphins are not good, but they have no chance without Tagovailoa. They could do better, but it could also get worse. Is Tagovailoa Elite? No, but it is good.
Anthony Weaver will be dismissed in front of Mike McDaniel
Excessive reaction or reality: Reality
How bad was the defense of the Dolphins for three games? The Dolphins granted more than 30 points in the three games, which included a 31 of the season in Thursday’s defeat against the Bills. Their 32.3 points per authorized match are the highest in the NFL, and the 370.3 yards per allowed match are 25th in the NFL.
Pass’s defense continues to get caught, the dolphins granted 8.9 yards by pass the attempt (28th of the NFL) and the score 128.9 authorized is among the worst league (31st in NFL). They allowed the Bills to score out of five of the seven possessions (not counting the end of half), and one of these non -scores was a missed basket.
Miami’s defense has regressed considerably compared to last year. This is part of the staff, but Weaver has not proven that he can adapt to what he has. The way this Seaosn goes, its seat can be warmer than McDaniel at the moment.
Invoices will not lose before November
Excessive reaction or reality: Reality
When will invoices lose again, if they lose? After surviving Thursday’s victory against the dolphins in a short week, the calendar becomes much easier. The Bills get 10 days off before welcoming the saints, then they host the Patriots in week 5 and go to face the Falcons in week 6. These are all won games.
After the week off, the Bills go to Caroline to face the panthers. There is a realistic chance that the Bills be 7-0 at the end of October, before this confrontation in November with the chiefs, which they generally beat in the regular season. Buffalo will be favored in many games, especially after surviving Baltimore during week 1.
It is difficult to see the Bills lose a match so soon, because their only difficult matches are not before the end of November are both at home – against the Chiefs and the Buccaneers. Bills could very well be the last undefeated team of the NFL.
