Philips Hue’s Latest Update Makes Your Lights and Doorbells Way Smarter

Philips Hue has just played a big game in the Smart Home Space at IFA Tech Expo, confirming a wave of new products after leaks have surfaced earlier this week. The range includes intelligent motion detection bulbs, a redesigned video doorbell with a clearer Fisheye 2K camera and new light bands – all designed to extend the range of Hue beyond traditional lighting.
One of the biggest changes comes the launch of the new Hue Bulb line. THE Standard bulbs A19 / E26 are a price lower than the usual offers of the company, from $ 25 each or $ 15 each in a pack of four. This is as much as an economy of 50% compared to the bulbs of previous colors, which facilitates more people with intelligent lighting.
Philips Hue has also launched new technology that adds motion detection to its bulbs – the Bridge Pro Hub. You will have to change your existing bridge, but the increase is that you will not have to exchange your current bulbs. In addition, the bridge Pro has tripled the capacity of the bridge, allowing it to associate with 150 lights and 50 switches and sensors, and also store up to 500 personalized light scenes.

The company says that in “a few clicks”, you will be able to transfer the parameters of all your bridge shade devices to the bridge pro. If you have more than one bridge, you can transfer them to a single pro bridge by the end of the year.
“I like to see Philips Hue introduce an option of intelligent budgetary light in the essential line, because their bulbs can become expensive,” explains Tyler Lacoma, editor -in -chief of Cnet Home Tech. “It is a little disappointing that they still need a center to allow Wi -Fi when so many other brands have abandoned the requirement. On the positive side, these hubs now allow new features such as this intelligent movement detection technology – which I look forward to trying.”
New bulbs add thread
The new neon gradient of Philips Hue Neon Outdoor Lightprip will be available in March.
The new essential bulbs and the E27 bulbs updates now include wire, as well as ZigBee and Bluetooth. These bulbs can now be integrated into an intelligent house protocol without having to use a Hue bridge.
At IFA, Philips Hue has also introduced five new light bands – offering more light and flexibility of use – and all will be available in the coming months:
The doorbell obtains a large upgrade
THE Cut hue has been announced earlier this year and will be available in October. The resolution will be upgraded around 2K with a Fisheye lens, and there will be no additional costs to see the most recent 24 hours of video recording.
The doorbell will trigger the lights you choose and will also send notifications in real time, while the Smart Carillon rings. HUE secure cameras will be integrated into Apple Home.
