Trump brags of captured Kirk suspect on Fox News—to boost their ratings
Friday morning, Donald Trump told Fox News Channel that he announced the news of the apparent capture of the alleged killer of Charlie Kirk on the network to help their notes.
“I just heard about this five minutes before I got – when I come back, looks very good, they have the person they wanted,” said Trump. “So, are you news, isn’t it huh?” You still have news, Ainsley [Earhardt]. Sean [Hannity] I will be very disappointed not to do it in his show. “”
Trump admitted during an appearance on “Fox & Friends”, which has been his favorite program for the network for years. After its announcement, NBC and CNN indicated that sources of application of the law confirmed that a suspect was in detention.
Trump expressed his enthusiasm not for the judge to catch the person who murdered his friend, but he was rather animated by the way the news would help Fox’s notes. Trump has often expressed more interest in television assessments than for fundamental human decency.
Fox was a key ally of Trump throughout his political career. The network has advanced pro-Trump propaganda, attacked its political opponents and even invented achievements to rent it even after having failed several times to the public.
Kirk was a racist and misogynistic ally of Trump and the right used his murder to put pressure on speech restrictions. Trump said he intended to give Kirk a posthumous freedom medal, the greatest civil honor in America.
